Get Involved

There’s a ton of ways to get involved with us.

PLAY!

Noterra1If you’re looking to learn hockey, you’re exactly the person we’re looking for, especially if your age is under 16. If you don’t even have a clue whether you’d like hockey, you’re exactly the person we’re looking for.

If you’re the parent of a child 6-14 (or a little younger or older) that might be interested in checking out hockey, register for one of our introductory events and come down to the rink with them. We’ll do our best to convince you hockey is the best sport on the planet.

We will be significantly ramping up our schedule of events in 2016. We will always offer a ZERO INVESTMENT way for you or your kids to find out how great hockey is. We can’t guarantee you’ll be a star or that you’ll even like hockey, but we will guarantee you’ll have fun finding that out if you join us.

DONATE!

We’re always happy to accept equipment donations or cash donations. Either are tax deductible. To make a donation please click here or use the link on the side of the page.

If you already are a hockey person and would like to help us with our projects, contact us at volunteer@deserthockey.org  and we will figure out where you fit so you can have some fun as well.

We need help with a lot of things. Our focus for the first half of 2014 will be to find as many prospective young people as we can to get the introductory programs full and lively.

Of course we can use help soliciting equipment donations and cooperative partnerships with likely partners.

Making a difference always feels good, and it’s even better when you can share one of your passions with people that don’t know about it.

SCHEDULE AN EVENT

DHD will work with schools and other organizations to participate in existing events or simply stage a free clinic for organizations interested to involve their kids with something interesting.

An example of this was the Sunset Vista “Bobcat Bash” where we offered hockey to participating kids. We all had fun, and we’re planning to be part of the “Bobcat Bash” again this year.
