We know there’s plenty of people that don’t play golf. There’s people that play golf so badly they are embarrassed to play in an organized group.

Why not join us for lunch? You can hang out with a bunch of cool people, support some good causes, and have some great hamburger and hot dog barbecue sort of food.

People have asked us how they could bid on some of the great auction items we’ve got or participate in the raffle. This is how, buy a lunch date for $30 and you’ll get a raffle ticket to go along with good times with good people and good food.

We’re happy to have Sanderson Ford (6400 N. 51st Ave, Glendale) with us as a major sponsor of the inaugural Grow The Game Golf Classic.  They’re providing us with a BUNCH of great prizes, including a new car.

fusionSanderson is sponsoring our big Hole-In-One prize, a two year lease on a brand new Ford Fusion.  It’s not an impossible task, either.  Get an ace on the eighth hole (a 165 yard par 3) and be sure that a couple of your buddies saw it.  Do those easy things and drive home with a Fusion, which is a pretty sweet ride.

But, if you manage to shoot a hole-in-one on one (or more!) of three other par three holes, you might score a 3 day/two night golf vacation (there’s TWO of these up for grabs) or a Tour Edge Exotics fairway wood package.

Glendale First! was the political action committee instrumental in retaining the Coyotes in Glendale.

Click to register for the Grow The Game Golf ClassicThis is the first major fundraising effort by Desert Hockey Development (DHD).  We’re running this first tournament in conjunction with Glendale First! because of that organization’s education efforts that helped keep the Coyotes in Glendale.

We need players, sponsors, and volunteers to make this tournament a success.  We’re very hopeful there will also be future Grow The Game Classics to benefit DHD.

Desert Hockey Development was created by a group of friends who were also the driving force behind the Glendale First! education efforts to inform Glendale residents of the benefits of keeping the Coyotes National Hockey League team as the anchor tenants in the city owned Jobing.com Arena.

  • Benefits: Desert Hockey Development as a 501(c)(3) corporation is partnering with Glendale First! for this first tournament.  Donations are tax deductible and 100% of proceeds will go to continue to educate residents of Glendale to the benefits of NHL hockey, and to further the mission of offering FREE  hockey clinics for children.
  • All Golfers receive: 18 holes of golf, various awards, free gifts, and lunch. Golfer receives 1 mulligan and 1 raffle ticket.
